Intermediate System Administrator Full Time

We are looking for an Intermediate System Administrator for our client who meets the following criteria:

• Language: English
• Security Clearance: Secret
• Location of Work: Onsite – DND facilities within the National Capital Region, at Buildings 4 or Building 14 Shirley’s Bay Campus.

Mandatory requirements:

• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems on both physical and virtual computers.
• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of virtualization solutions.
• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of physical hardware on the network.
• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of user and group specific software over the network.
• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing backup and recovery of information systems including for both individual machines and complete data centres.
• The Bidder must demonstrate that the proposed resource has a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years, from date of bid closing performing first line troubleshooting support for all the following:
  • network infrastructure;
  • connected hardware; and
  • packaged software.

Nice to have requirements:

• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five years employing any of the following two (2) technologies:
  • Microsoft Active Directory;
  • Multi-Factory- Authentication (MFA) using RSA SecurID.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five (5) years employing two (2) or more of the following core system technologies:
  • VMWare vCenter Server 7/8.0+;
  • Dell OpenManage for vCenter Server;
  • Nvidia License Server;
  • NVidia GRID vGPU Manager for ESXi;
  • Flexera LMTOOLS License Server;
  • Kubernetes;
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2019.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has five (5) years or more of experience within the past five (5) years employing two (2) or more of the following:
  • Cisco Static and dynamic routing (OSPF and EIGRP);
  • Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch configuration;
  • Domain Name Service (DNS);
  • Generic Routing Encapsulation (GRE);
  • Switch virtual interfaces (SVIs);
  • Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs);
  • Network Address Translation (NAT).
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has two (2) years or more of experience within the past three (3) years employing two (2) or more of the following technologies:
  • VMWare vSAN 8.0+;
  • Network Attached Storage (NAS) using Dell PowerStore 1200T Series;
  • Direct Attached Storage (DAS) on Dell PowerEdge R750/R760 and R660 Series;
  • Random Array of Independent Disks (RAID) on PERC Controllers;
  • Network File System (NFS) using Dell PowerStore 1200T;
  • Samba file sharing using Windows Server 2022 and Dell PowerStore 1200T;
  • Veeam Backup and Replication for ESXi 7/8.0+;
  • Virtual Machine Backup and Restore using Veeam.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five (5) years employing two (2) or more of the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022;
  • VMWare ESXi 7/8 Series;
  • Dell PowerEdge R760;
  • Dell PowerEdge R750;
  • Dell PowerEdge R660;
  • Dell PowerStore 1200T.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five years managing and maintaining two (2) or more of the following software products:
  • Dell On-Premise Wyse Management Suite;
  • VMWare Horizon Solutions;
  • Windows 11;
  • Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux;
  • Teamviewer;
  • Dell Wyse 5070;
  • Dell Wyse Optiplex 3000;
  • PDQ Deploy.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five years managing and maintaining one (1) or more of the following software products:
  • Matlab/Simulink;
  • AGI STK;
  • MaK One Suite;
  • ITASE;
  • EBOLA 1553 Bus Message Decoder;
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five (5) years managing and maintaining hardware-in-the- loop simulations employing Speedgoat Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology.
• The Bidder should demonstrate that the proposed resource has three (3) years or more of experience within the past five (5) years installing, configuring and administering GPS-sourced Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers in an on-premise environment not connected to internet.
