We are looking for a Senior Business Consultant for our client who meets the following criteria:
Language: English.
Security Clearance: Secret.
Location of Work: Hybrid – required to work both virtually and in person.
Mandatory requirements:
Must have a secondary school diploma; AND/OR a certificate, diploma, or degree in a relevant field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution, OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience that clearly supports the competencies required for the role.
Must have a minimum of 48 months experience in a Business Relationship Management (BRM) role within an IM/IT organization, including at least 4 of the following activities
Facilitating strategic partnerships between business units and IT by leading regular engagement sessions to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
Managing demand intake and prioritization processes, ensuring that business needs are captured, evaluated, and translated into actionable IT projects or services.
Developing and maintaining relationship management plans, including stakeholder maps, communication strategies, and engagement metrics to strengthen collaboration and trust.
Acting as a liaison during service disruptions or escalations, ensuring timely communication between IT and business stakeholders and advocating for resolution aligned with business impact.
Leading change management efforts related to new digital services or systems, including stakeholder readiness assessments, training coordination, and feedback loops to ensure adoption and satisfaction.
Must have a minimum of 36 months experience in the last 5 years providing strategic insights within an IM/IT organization, including:
Reviewing and recommending amendments to legislation, policies, and guidelines related to governance, performance reporting, and risk management to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Analyzing documentation on current and emerging issues—including briefing notes, position papers, speaking points, policy research, corporate reports, protocols, media materials, and presentations—to ensure alignment with departmental and broader government priorities.
Identifying, researching, and proposing the implementation of policies and procedures aimed at strengthening departmental operations and service delivery.
Advising senior leadership on strategic digital initiatives, with a focus on aligning business objectives and digital transformation strategies.
