Senior IT Security Installation Specialist Full Time

We are looking for a Senior IT Security Installation Specialist for the Department of National Defence with a Security Clearance Level of Top Secret

Job Specifications;

The proposed resource must comply with at least one (1) of the following minimum education mandatory criteria:

A. University Degree in any discipline, and a minimum of three (3) years cumulative experience in the last eight
(8) years as related to COMSEC installations; OR

B. College Diploma (two (2) or three (3) year program) in any discipline, and a minimum of four (4) years cumulative experience in the last eight (8) years related to COMSEC installations; OR

C. A minimum of five (5) years cumulative experience in the last eight
(8) years related to COMSEC installations; OR

D. A Canadian Armed Forces Trained Personnel or Government of Canada employee: Qualification to the QL 5B trade level (or pre-1987 equivalent) or Electronic Group Definition (EL), and a minimum of four (4) years cumulative experience in the last eight (8) years related to COMSEC installations

Experience Specific –Installations:  The proposed resource must have two
(2) years of demonstrated experience within the last eight (8) years installing COMSEC or IT devices.

Experience Specific –EMI Suppression: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience with Electro- Magnetic Interference (EMI) suppression techniques.

Experience Specific –Grounding: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience with bonding, grounding and shielding techniques.

Experience Specific – Fibre Optics: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience installing or maintaining Fibre Optic systems including optical isolators.

Experience Specific – Configuration Management: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience in the last ten (10) years drafting techniques required to amend floor plans and wiring diagrams for project directive  as-built” installation sketches, including experience with Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software, such as AutoCAD or Visio.

Experience Specific – Cabling: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience in the last ten (10) years installing cable pathway hardware including electrical metallic tubing (EMT), pull boxes, cable trays and cable management systems.

Experience Specific – Survey: The proposed resource must have two (2) years of demonstrated experience in the last eight (8) years performing site surveys and writing detailed project directives and reports for installation of High Assurance COMSEC or IT devices.

Experience Specific – VACM: The proposed resource must demonstrate a minimum of one (1) years of experience in the last eight (8) years performing the installation and integration of VACM (KY-58M, KY- 99M, KY-100M, or KYV-5M).

Experience Specific – KIV- 7M/Taclane: The proposed resource must demonstrate a minimum of one
(1) year of combined experience in the last 12 years performing the installation and integration of KIV-7M and Taclane (KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175G or KG- 175X).
