Senior Access to Information and Privacy Advisor Full Time

We are looking for a Senior Access to Information and Privacy Advisor for our client who meets the following criteria:

• Language: Bilingual – English & French
• Security Clearance: Reliability
• Location of Work: Onsite – 351 lvd Saint-Joseph, Gatineau, Place Vincent Massey- PVM

Mandatory requirements:

• The Bidder’s proposed resource must have Secondary school diploma.
• The Bidder’s proposed resource must have 48 months relevant experience.

Typical duties may include:

1. Preparing Privacy Impact Assessments
2. Analyzing, processing, researching and preparing responses to sensitive Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests
3. Providing recommendations regarding the exemption or exclusion of information to be released
4. Reviewing sensitive/complex files, including personnel harassment complaints and discipline files
5. Updating departmental contributions to Info Source
6. Coordinating the activities of ATIP team members
7. Conducting, coordinating and managing consultations with various federal departments and agencies
8. Coordinating the defence of decisions on complaints submitted to the Information or Privacy Commissioner
9. Providing advice and guidance to senior management, departments and agencies
10. Performing detailed quality control on a variety of documents produced by ATIP teams, including requests, information disclosures, guidelines and workplace tools
11. Investigate and respond to ATIP complaints

• The Bidder’s proposed resource must have experience in handling ATIP records related to the environment or science by providing concrete examples to demonstrate their experience.
• The resource proposed by the bidder must have experience in making recommendations regarding the exemption and exclusion of information to be released.
