Information Technology Security Engineer – Level 3 for Department of National Defence Full Time

We are looking for Information Technology Security Engineer – Level 3 for Department of National Defence with a Security Clearance Level of TOP SECRET – SIGINT

Interested resource must have:

1.Proposed resource possesses a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of work experience within the last five (5) years (from date of solicitation) in supporting security engineering with experience that includes all of the items below:

• Implementation and configuration of Tenable Nessus in the context of asset discovery, vulnerability assessment and configuration compliance, and
• Implementation and configuration of McAfee tools, such as ePolicy Orchestrator, to centrally manage end point security policies; and
• Implementation and configuration of network security monitoring (NSM) or security information and event monitoring (SIEM) capabilities; and
• Implementation and configuration of micro segmentation of Nutanix flow capabilities and policies.

2. Proposed resource has a minimum of ten (10) years’ combined experience within the last fifteen (15) years working in the development and implementation of IT security applications and infrastructures in at least three (3) of the following areas (with a minimum of one year per applicable given area):

• Host-based intrusion prevention system (HIPS); or
• Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS); or
• Network Intrusion Detection Systems (IPS); or
• Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) or
• Network Access Control (NAC) or
• Cross Domain Solutions (CDS); or
• End point protection.

3. Proposed resource has a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience combined within the last fifteen (15) years working in the development and implementation of IT security applications and infrastructures intended for deployment in classified domains. Combined experience must include at a minimum, one year experience for all points listed below:

• Documenting systems current state and/or deficiencies; and
• Conducting product assessments and evaluations and;
• Conducting proof of concept test and validation activities and;
• Providing integration and implementation strategy and transition planning documentation to support implementation activities and;
• Providing solution and architecture documentation (e.g., system design specifications, Concept of Operations); and
• Identifying and documenting in service support impacts
